Alert: School-Funding Reform Forum
Plan now to attend the Dane County School-Funding Reform Community Forum
on January 12, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Monona Grove High
School, 4400 Monona Drive, Monona.
This forum will offer two panel discussions. One will address the
crisis in school funding and the impacts budget cuts have had on
children, families, staff, and the community. The other will address the
connection between the recommendations of the Governors Task Force on
Educational Excellence and the issues raised by the first panel.
In addition, there will be an overview of the current funding crisis by
Jack Norman, as well as suggestions for how people interested in this
topic can advocate with the governor and legislature for reform.
