The Daily Globe: Special Olympics athlete makes visit to Mercer school

MERCER, Wis. -- Special Olympics athlete Cindy Bentley launched her book tour in the library at the Mercer K-12 School on Thursday.
Bentley told fourth, fifth and sixth graders that she's an avid reader, that running saved her life and that "you can have a bad childhood and come out of it with a good life."
"Cindy Bentley: Spirit of a Champion" celebrates the life of a Wisconsin advocate for people with disabilities, according to a news release.
