The next two-year state budget bill, AB-75, is being debated by the Joint Finance Committee. They completed public hearings around the state earlier this month. Last week they started to make decisions on funding matters.
DAWN has set up a “Take Action” item on the budget on the DAWN home page. Please use this easy to use tool to express your thoughts about the budget. You can find the “Take Action” box from the DAWN home page.
The Committee will continue to meet at least twice a week at least for the next three weeks. The schedule is available online.
Their meetings are also carried on the state’s version of C-SPAN called Wisconsin Eye. Go there to watch these proceedings and other committee’s work over the web.
