U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will hold a listening session in Milwaukee County on Friday, September 18.  Senator Feingold has pledged to hold listening sessions in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties each year of his six-year term.  If constituents need special accommodations at the listening sessions they should contact Senator Feingold’s Middleton office at 608-828-1200.

His Milwaukee County listening session will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Vincent High School, 7501 North Granville Road, Milwaukee.  The meeting will last up to an hour.

This session allows you the opportunity to express your views to the Senator on federal issues such as health care reform, Community Choice Act, CLASS Act, IDEA, housing, Rehabilitation Act, voting and campaign finance, and ethics reform.

Each meeting will last up to an hour.  For more information on federal issues, check the DAWN web site on national disability issues.

More information about Sen. Feingold’s listening sessions (in both English and Spanish) can be found on his web site.

I have a 4 year old grandson that has recently been diagnosed with Presavive Development Disorder. To my surprise 1 in 65 children are being diagnosed with some sort of Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is very upsetting to me as I am finding it very hard to get to the people who can help. Most of it is out of pocket expenses and I am concerned about the other parents/grandparents or guardians that are experiancing the same thing I have and do not know where to go for help. I would be very interested to know what Sen. Feingold thinks about this growing medical problem facing our children.
