Scholarships Available for Candidates Forum

You still have an opportunity to be a part of history! Many scholarships are available for individuals to attend the Candidates Forum on Aging and Disability Long Term Care, featuring the candidates for Governor and US Senate.
Scheduled for July 30 in Green Bay from 11 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., this is an historic opportunity to hear from statewide candidates about the issues that affect our lives, our futures and the future of our State. Registration fees are on a sliding scale, $10-$35, and assistance is available. See the registration form at for details on assistance and location of forum.A bus will be available to transport individuals from Madison to Green Bay. Efforts are underway to arrange transportation from other locations to Green Bay. Contact John Shaw at (608) 266-7707 or john1.shaw@wisconsin.gov for information.
There are also opportunities for organizations to join as co-sponsors to help underwrite costs for the forum and provide additional scholarships so that as many people with disabilities and their families can attend. Sponsors currently include Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups (CWAG), Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW), Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD), Survival Coalition, Community Alliance of Providers of Wisconsin (CAPOW), the Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin (BIAW) and the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition (WDVC).
