Are you:
- A person with a traumatic brain injury, or a family member or significant other?
- At least 18 years old?
- Able to participate in a group meeting?
If you answered yes to the above questions, please consider participating in the Midwest Advocacy Project. The project will help you become a better advocate for persons with brain injury. All it requires in one Saturday per month in August through November. You will receive a $100 stipend plus funding for some expenses.
The Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin is partnering with the Mayo Clinic TBI Model System in a research study to identify how to best teach advocacy to people touched by TBI to improve their health and that of their communities. This groundbreaking study is expected to advance the science of TBI research while improving the advocacy skills of the participants.
