What you will learn:
The Wisconsin legislature decided to create and fund a Family Care Ombudsman Program for people under age 60 in the 2007-2009 biennium. Disability Rights Wisconsin was selected by the Department of Health Services to develop and operate this program.
This informational session will be presented by the Manager of the Ombudsman Program and will cover:
- Information and education on consumer rights (including case examples)
- Information on CIP/COP appeal rights for consumers in non-Family Care counties
- How the Ombudsman Program / DRW can assist consumers in filing complaints and appeals
- How the Ombudsman Program / DRW can assist consumers in filing for administrative hearing
