What: Come learn what an Ombudsman is and what they can do for you. Jamie Miller from Disability Rights Wisconsin will explain the Ombudsman Program and how it can help you. Disability Rights Wisconsin is now providing ombudsman services to Family Care enrollees and potential enrollees throughout the state.
The Family Care Ombudsman Program offers many services including:
- Investigating complaints;
- Resolving and mediating disputes;
- Providing information and education on consumer rights;
- Assisting in negotiating care plans;
- Appealing denials of services or changes in services that clients don’t agree with;
- Working with enforcement and regulatory agencies.
