A Two Day Workshop for Students with Disabilities and their Parents or Guardians from June 24-25, 2009.

The Midwest Alliance is planning a hands-on workshop and camp entitled "Exploration by Design: How Stuff Works" for juniors and seniors in high school and undeclared postsecondary (2 or 4 year college and university) student levels focusing on design concepts, engineering, and problem solving. This event will take place in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, from June 24-25, 2009, at the I Hotel, 1900 S. First St., Champaign, IL, 61820.

Transportation costs, breakfast and lunch of both days, and lodging will be provided to registrants and up to 2 parents/guardians. Eligibility is restricted to students with a disability and their parents or guardians. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, although parents and guardians will take part in an alternative program designed to help them support students make their way into college.

Please use the this link to register.  We have a limit of 20 student participants, and we will take registrations on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If we have reached our limit when you apply, we will add you to a waiting list if you choose.  The deadline to register is April 30, 2009.
