January 26 & 27, 2010
Waukesha, WI

There are still spots available for the SOAR Training on January 26th and 27th.

Helping people with disabilities who are homeless gain access to the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) benefit programs for people with physical and/or mental disabilities – Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) – is a financially sound investment in people, in programs, and in communities.  For individuals, immediate gains of SSI and SSDI are clear:  a steady income and health coverage.

This training will train the recipient in the process that has proven itself successful around the country in increasing the success rate of initial applications from 32% to 65-95% and reduced the wait for benefits from years to two months from submission.  This program has successfully been implemented in Waukesha County for the past two years after a two-year effort to bring all the partners to the table.
