1. Self-Determination Conference
Date: November 8, 9, and 10
Place: Kalahari Resort and Convention Center, Wisconsin Dells
Did you know that about 7,000 people with disabilities and frail elders across Wisconsin are self-directing their supports in a variety of ways? And the number is growing everyday.
Registration is now open for the third statewide self-determination conference called “The Game Plan: Advancing Self-Determination in Wisconsin.” The conference theme represents the need for all of us to continue to develop and strengthen Self-Determination in Wisconsin so that people are in control of their supports and their lives.

The Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force is sponsoring a summit called “Mental Health: Race, Culture, Ethnicity.” The goals of the summit are to increase awareness and knowledge related to race and racism in the US, and to develop strategies for policy, practice and community.
