This Tuesday, September 14th, voters across Wisconsin will head to the polls to cast their ballots in this year's partisan primary election.

Voters will have the chance to vote for the candidates in only one political party.  You will not be able to cross party lines.  You must decide which political party best represents your views and then vote for candidates from that party only.

Elections are being held to determine candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, US Senate and House, state Senate and Assembly, as well as many local offices like Sheriff.

The state’s Government Accountability Board has a web site to find your polling place and check your registration status.

Polls are open on Tuesday, September 14th, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you are a first-time Wisconsin voter who registered by mail, you should bring a form of identification that includes your complete name with current and complete address.  This could be a current and valid driver's license, student or employer ID (that includes a photo), or recent utility bill.

You can also register to vote at the polls on Election Day. Your Wisconsin driver's license or state ID, student or employer photo ID, or recent utility bill may again be used as proof of residence. If you are unable to provide a valid driver's license number, you will also be asked to provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security number or your Wisconsin state ID card number.

Again, Wisconsin voters will cast their ballots for the candidates who will represent them in Washington and Madison -- so it's crucial that as many voters as possible make their voices heard.

Please vote on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 and then again in the fall General Election on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
