The ARC (Advocacy for the Right of all Citizens) of the Northwoods hosts the training to be held on Saturday, May 30th from 9:30-3:30 at New Horizons North, 514 West Main Street, Ashland.

The Wetherow’s international workshops have inspired those who have disabilities and those who support them to connect, grow and participate in community. “Relationship-mapping” will be a tool featured at the workshop. According to the Wetherows, “this tool uses graphics and advanced mind-mapping software which can reveal the paths to rich sources of support and connection that tap the ‘fractal’ nature of community.” The software can be downloaded at no charge by participants. The workshop concepts can also be applied without the software.

The training event welcomes teachers, care managers, direct service staff, persons receiving support and services, parents and extended family members, and leaders in civic, church, cultural and business organizations.

Reservations to ensure there are adequate refreshments and lunch are appreciated by Wednesday, May 27th. Call Deanna Yost to sign up for workshop at 715-682-7171 extension 35.
