Spring Election

The April spring elections had just two statewide offices; Superintendent of Public Instruction and State Supreme Court Justice. The candidates that were elected for each of those offices were Tony Evers for Superintendent and Shirley Abrahamson for Supreme Court Justice. Mr. Evers will begin his term on July 1, 2009 and serve for four years before the next election is held. Ms. Abrahamson will continue to serve on the court and will serve for another ten years before the next election.
There were many local offices and referenda decided in the election. To find out those results, you need to contact your local media.
