Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Please vote and tell others you know to do the same. Issues that are important to the disability community like creating jobs, improving the availability of health care, and support for community-based programs will be decided.

New Statewide Survey Shows Lack of Transportation and Uncertainty about Eligibility Keep Voters with Disabilities from the Polls
A new statewide survey by the non-partisan Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition (WDVC) takes a look at voting and the disability community. The poll of 600 respondents was conducted October 2 – October 9, 2008 and reached a cross section of the disability community including parents, guardians, people with disabilities, direct support workers and advocates.

On December 8, 2008 Sensory Resources will be hosting our fall workshop Sensory Strategies to Improve Children's Learning and Behavior in Milwaukee, WI. The workshop features the award winning author of The Out of Sync Child, Carol Stock Kranowitz. She will bring her famous bag of activities for parents, educators, occupational therapists, allied health professionals and physicians.
