The DBTAC Great Lakes ADA Center is holding a poster contest in order to raise awareness about the Americans' with Disabilities Act (ADA) 20th anniversary (July 26th, 2010). The Great Lakes Center is part of a national network of regional ADA centers that were established to help foster voluntary compliance of the law. The center works with architectural firms, businesses, employers, disability organizations, and individuals with disabilities in order to provide technical assistance and information on the ADA.
For the 20th Anniversary of the ADA, we are holding a poster contest. The Center will judge the entries followed by awarding first prize, second prize, and third prize. At this time I am not sure what the monetary value of the first three prizes will be, but last year it was $500, $250, and $100 prizes The first prize poster will be printed and distributed on a small scale.
If you have any questions please contact Jaclyn Rabito at jrabito@uic.edu or jaclyn-rabito@augustana.edu. If you would like to learn more about the center please visit thewebsite.
