Reform of State Supreme Court Elections

DAWN has added a new Take Action item. It is about campaign finance reform of State Supreme Court elections. There are two bills introduced in the Senate and Assembly (Impartial Justice bills) that would provide for public financing of these elections.

In recent years there have been several bitter State Supreme Court elections that were influenced by special interest groups. These bills would not allow special interest group funding.

Instead, they would create a system where these elections would be financed with a fund. If this is an issue you care about, you can use the “Take Action” tool on the DAWN home page.
