Make Integrated Employment Work: Attend the IE Network Event
Register Now for the Integrated Employment Network Event (August 28)
Integrated Employment (IE) Network Events are designed to connect people with disabilities, families, provider organizations, and businesses in a collaborative effort to increase the number of people with disabilities in Integrated Employment in Wisconsin. Register now and be part of this important collaboration. This event is open to everyone.
At the event, participants will be provided with information and tools designed to expand integrated employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Participants will learn about innovative employment practices in Wisconsin, how to implement these practices, and how to work collaboratively across systems to achieve a common goal. There will also be breakout sessions that will focus on the tools that can be used to educate the public about how Integrated Employment can be beneficial for an entire community.
Don Lavin, a specialist in Integrated Employment and Employment First, will deliver a keynote address about the common myths and concerns of families and people with disabilities and how they can be addressed. Also, a panel of self-advocates will discuss how they made Integrated Employment work for them. More information is available on the BPDD website.
Details: The IE Network Event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Online registration is available.
