These listening sessions are a great opportunity for constituents to talk about disability issues with their legislators.

A community conversation about special needs vouchers will be held in Neenah on Thursday, April 18. This is a great opportunity to learn more about special needs vouchers, including the positions of parents and legislators.
When you are educating yourself and others about important disability-related issues in the next state budget, please consider using papers from the 2013 Priorities for People with Disabilities in Wisconsin series.

The Joint Finance Committee will hold a hearing on the Governor’s proposed state budget in Wisconsin Dells on Wednesday, April 10. (The original location was Lake Delton.) The hearing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Suites 2 and 7 (main level) of the Kalahari Resort. The Kalahari Resort is located at 1305 Kalahari Drive in Wisconsin Dells.
Check out this press release about the results of a statewide survey that was designed to gauge Wisconsin attitudes toward special needs vouchers. The survey attracted more than 1,000 responses and shows resounding opposition from all parts of the state.
