Claire Bible is a self-advocate from Madison. She was recently appointed to the BPDD and she served as a liaison between BPDD and People First. Claire is a student teacher, a poet, and a writer.

Report: Take Your Legislator to Work Campaign

In the campaign’s second year, 40 legislators visited 62 people with disabilities who have community-integrated jobs. When asked how they would rate their visit, 100% of the people with disabilities who participated said “successful.”

Disability Advocacy Day and BPDD 40th Anniversary

Last week, Disability Advocacy Day was held at the Capitol. Over 400 disability advocates participated and met with about 90% of the state’s legislators. Afterwards, BPDD held its 40th Anniversary Celebration.

Be Heard at a Joint Finance Committee Hearing

The Joint Finance Committee will hold four public hearings around the state to get feedback from Wisconsinites regarding the 2013-2015 State Budget. The hearings will be held in Greendale (4/4), Green Bay (4/8), Lake Delton (4/10), and Baldwin (4/18).
